Caim knot, a symbol of sanctuary

Having its origins within ancient Celtic culture, when members of warring clans intermarried, people would form a protective circle around the wedded couple. The Caim knot is a symbol of that sanctuary. While we can’t reach the people who need that protection ourselves, the American Civil Liberty Union can. Every penny of the sales of this hand tooled leather knotwork will be donated to the ACLU.

We feel powerless in light of recent bizarre politics. We do have time on our hands, plenty of leather, paint and wood. This is what we are doing. Our aim is to produce a bunch of these meaningful knots, and donate the money to an agency that can do some good.

We are offering 2 sizes: a smaller one at about 6” x 6”, and a larger one at about 7.5” x 7.5”, both in our usual cherry float frame. Pricing: the smaller - $100 tooled, and $200 tooled & painted; larger - $150 tooled, $300 tooled & painted. We’ll still have to charge sales tax, ‘cause it’s not a donation until we send money to the charity. And, if you don’t mind we’ll charge $15 for shipping.
